How can I protect my fuel tank?

While designing a civilian armored vehicle, fuel tank protection is the central area of consideration from a common-sense perspective. ARMORMAX® provides two ways of protection for the under vehicle fuel tank:

  1. Using a proprietary self-seal bomb blanket to the vehicle’s underside in a manner that it surrounds the fuel tank system completely. In this way, the fuel tank is protected from any projectiles that could be either kicked up from underneath the vehicle or from the sides.

2. Coating the fuel tank with a self-seal protective layer. This coating cannot stop the projectile from penetrating into the fuel tank. Still, it self-seals the fuel tank to stop rupturing to cause a significant leak.

Both are extremely effective and work great alongside a vehicle that is completely armored and surrounds the fuel tank below.
